Efrat Yerday

Efrat Yerday served as AEJ’s Chairwoman from 2019-2024. She is a writer, scholar, and activist, she was awarded NIF’s 2020 Gallanter Prize “based on the universal principles of freedom, dignity and human rights for all,” and named one of Israel’s “Most Promising People” by Israel’s popular newspaper, Yediot Achronot. She has a MA degree in political science and government from Ben-Gurion University and is a PhD candidate in Tel Aviv University’s Sociology department while teaching at Ruppin College
